By accessing or using Chronostates, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Timelines, events, and creative content you generate through our platform belong to you. However, you grant us a license to store, display, and process this content as necessary to provide our services.
AI-generated content is provided as-is. You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content before publication.
Authors who publish on Chronosagas retain ownership of their works. Publishing is free: any account may publish, on any plan or none, and we do not charge to list a work.
Works published free of charge. If you publish a work free of charge, you agree not to solicit payment, donations, tips, or crowdfunding of any kind on that work’s page or within its content. This includes payment links, donation pages, crowdfunding campaigns, cryptocurrency wallet addresses, and handles for payment services. You confirm this each time you publish such a work.
Commercial licence. To sell or accept payment for a work, you need a one-time $10 commercial licence for that work. It is charged once per work — never per chapter, and never again if you unpublish and republish. It permits you to display your own payment link on that work’s public page. Fan fiction cannot be commercially licensed.
Payments between you and your readers. Where a work displays an author’s payment link, the sale occurs off-platform. Payment is handled directly by the author, through a payment service of their choosing. ChronoStates is not a party to that transaction and takes no fee from it. Delivery of anything purchased, refunds, chargebacks, and any dispute arising from the sale are solely between the author and the buyer. We provide no guarantee as to delivery, quality, or the author’s conduct, and we cannot intervene in or arbitrate such a dispute.
Reporting. Every public book page carries a “Report this page” control. Reports are reviewed by a person.
Enforcement. We scan works published free of charge for solicitation, both when they are saved and periodically afterwards. If we find something, we will tell you and your work stays published while you have at least 7 days to remove it or buy a commercial licence. We will not unpublish a work without notifying you first. If the content is part of the story, tell us and a person will review it.
Subscriptions. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle — you will retain full access to your plan until then. We do not issue refunds for partial or unused billing periods.
One-time purchases. AI-generated content (books, video packages, audiobooks, and audio productions) incurs compute costs the moment generation begins. Once processing has started, these purchases are non-refundable. If generation fails due to a platform error, we will re-run the job or issue a credit at our discretion.
ChronoSagas. Books on ChronoSagas are free to read, so there is nothing to refund. Where an author sells their work through their own payment link, that transaction is between you and the author — ChronoSagas is not a party to it and cannot assist with delivery, refunds, or disputes. The one-time $10 commercial licence an author buys to display that link is a purchase from us, and is refundable within 7 days if the work has not yet been published commercially.
How to request a refund. Email chronostates@gmail.com with your account email and a description of the issue. We aim to respond within 3 business days.
If you provide your own API keys, you are responsible for any charges incurred through those keys. We encrypt keys at rest but are not liable for charges resulting from your usage.
You may not use Chronostates — including any AI-powered features such as image generation, cover art creation, video generation, audio production, or text generation — to create, distribute, or publish any of the following:
Enforcement. Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate content removal, account suspension, or permanent account termination at our sole discretion. Severe violations (including CSAM) will be reported to law enforcement. We reserve the right to use automated and manual review to detect prohibited content.
Content moderation. All AI-generated visual content (images, cover art, video) is subject to content safety filters provided by our AI partners. These filters are designed to prevent the generation of sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise prohibited visual content. Attempts to circumvent these filters constitute a violation of these terms.
Chronostates is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.
